100 km/h sticker for authorised trailers

You can apply for a 100 km/h sticker for trailers if the suitability is proven according to the registration certificate or COC document.

Description

It is possible to apply for a 100 km/h sticker if the trailer is suitable for speeds of 100 km/h on motorways and motorways in accordance with the 9th Exemption Ordinance to the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) and if there is a corresponding note in the Certificate of Conformity (COC) or in field 22 of the registration certificate Part I.

To make an appointment for the allocation of a 100 km/h speed limit sticker for an already registered trailer and for any queries, please contact: zulassung.ii42-leitung.kvr@muenchen.de

Please do not make an appointment via the online appointment system of the Munich Licensing Authority.

Prerequisites

If the entry in the COC (EC Declaration of Conformity) or in the registration certificate part I contains the note "if equipped with shock absorbers...", a confirmation from the vehicle manufacturer or an invoice stating that the trailer is equipped with shock absorbers is also required.

Alternatively, the confirmation can also be issued by an inspection organisation. However, the trailer must be presented to the testing organisation for this purpose.

Important note:If the sticker is applied for in conjunction with the registration of the trailer and/or a technical modification in connection with the suitability for 100 km/h, no separate appointment is required.

Required documents

  • Registration certificate part I (vehicle licence)
  • When applying for a replacement licence sticker, the previous, damaged licence sticker must be presented at the appointment.

If the application is not made in connection with the registration of the trailer in question:

  • For authorised representatives: written power of attorney (original) as well as ID of the authorised representative (original) and ID of the person granting the power of attorney (copy).
