Subsidy towards parental contributions for private daycare centres
If you are unable to pay the costs for a private daycare centre or lunchtime supervision in the current daycare year, you can apply for a subsidy.
Description
If your child attends a day care centre run by a private or independent provider, you can receive a subsidy towards the parental contributions if required. You must apply for this at the Economic Youth Welfare Office in your local social centre. The responsible social welfare centre will decide whether you meet the requirements for the contributions to be paid.

Prerequisites
First ask your daycare centre for a reduction in fees. If the costs are still too high for you, you can apply for a subsidy. To do so, you must provide proof of economic need.
Required documents
- Documentation of your current financial circumstances
- Proof of custody of the child for whom you are applying for the subsidy
- Overview of fees for your daycare centre: You can request a corresponding form from your local social welfare office and have it completed by the provider of your daycare centre or lunchtime supervision.
