Official medical assessment - compensation for disadvantages for students

With an official medical certificate, students with a disability or chronic illness can receive compensation for disadvantages from the university for their studies.

Description

Students who claim to have a disability or chronic illness in connection with their studies or examinations to be taken in this context (state examinations, Bachelor's or Master's examinations, preliminary or main diploma examinations) can receive compensation for disadvantages from the university after an official medical report has been drawn up.

Please note:

  • The examination appointment must be requested in writing or by e-mail.
  • Please provide your full address, date of birth, telephone and mobile phone number.
  • The reasons for the compensation must be listed.
  • Appointments can take three to four weeks to be allocated. We kindly ask you to refrain from telephone enquiries regarding the allocation of appointments.

Prerequisites

Appointments will only be made if all the above-mentioned documents are available!

Required documents

For registration

  • completed assessment basis
  • completed declaration of consent under data protection law
  • all medical documents and examination findings (including X-rays, findings of technical examinations and blood results) that justify the compensation for disadvantages

For the examination

  • ID (passport, identity card or driving licence)

Duration & Costs

Processing time

Short-term preparation possible if all necessary medical documents from the attending physicians are available. However, it is not possible to issue the certificate on the day of the examination.
