Lack of liability insurance cover

If you have received a corresponding notification from us, please get in touch with your insurance company or your contact person at the vehicle licensing authority (see notification) immediately to discuss how to proceed.

You can only prevent the compulsory deregistration of your vehicle by submitting a new insurance confirmation (VBÜ) electronically from the insurer or by deregistering the vehicle.

If you sell the vehicle, please send us a copy of the purchase contract.

Motor vehicle tax arrears

If you have received a corresponding notice from us, the forced deregistration can only be ended by deregistering the vehicle or by paying the outstanding vehicle tax to the main customs office.

An owner confirmation or data confirmation can be issued for authorities, vehicle owners, car dealerships or vehicle manufacturers.
