Information from the driving aptitude register

If you would like to view your entries in the driving aptitude register (traffic offender register), you can obtain information free of charge from the Federal Motor Transport Authority.

Description

Legally binding decisions on traffic offences and driving licence measures are stored in the driving aptitude register. Registered offences are assessed according to type and severity with points and deleted after certain periods. You can see your current points status in the information from the register - the driving licence authorities are responsible for determining points and measures in accordance with the driving aptitude assessment system.

You can apply for information from the driving aptitude register at the Federal Motor Transport Authority online or by post.

The driving licence authority of the City of Munich cannot provide you with any information on this procedure.
