Electricity, gas and water from the municipal utilities

Course description

If you have recently moved to Munich, you can register online with Stadtwerke München for M electricity and M natural gas.

If you are moving house, you can use the online service to simply re-register your existing electricity and natural gas meter or deregister your water meter for the M-Electricity and M-Natural Gas tariffs available nationwide.

If you move out, you can quickly and conveniently deregister your existing electricity, natural gas and water meters yourself online.

Required documents

Move in, registration:

• Your new address
• Move-in date
• Meter number and meter readings (electricity, natural gas, water and/or district heating)
• name of the previous tenant, if applicable

we will then contact you and you will receive information about your consumption point.

relocation:

• Your previous contract account number
• Move-out date
• Meter number and meter readings for electricity/natural gas/water in the old flat
• name of the new tenant, if applicable
• Your new address
• Move-in date
• Meter number and meter readings for electricity/natural gas/water in the new flat
• name of the previous tenant, if applicable

Move out, deregistration:

• Your previous contract account number
• old address
• Move-out date
• Meter number and meter readings for electricity/natural gas/water in the old flat
• name of the new tenant, if applicable
• Your new address
