Change of address for identity card, passport, eAT
If you move within Munich, move to Munich or your address has been changed, you should have the address on your identity documents changed.
Description
it is advisable to change the address on all identity documents at the same time as registering.
If you move house, you should have the address on your ID card and electronic residence permit updated. The new address is affixed to an address sticker on the back of the ID card.
In the case of an ID card in cheque card format and the electronic residence permit, the new address is also updated on the ID card chip.
Only the place of residence is shown in the passport. If you move to another municipality, you should have this updated in your passport.
You need an appointment for this.
